The vision and focus of the practice is to provide a professional and creative service that is flexible and understanding of clients’ needs.
Our passion for creating stylish and contemporary spaces is matched by the efficiency and creativity we bring to every project. Regardless of project size, our approach to each job follows the same basic work flow.
1. Initial briefing
We meet you, our client, to develop an understanding of your project requirements and budget.
2. Agree fee proposal
Next we issue a detailed fee proposal, outlining the costs for each element of our service. If you are satisfied we then proceed to the next step.
3. Site survey
We carry out a survey of the site and existing building, reviewing site limitations and any planning constraints there may be.
4. Sketch design
We develop an initial sketch design in response to your brief, which we then discuss with you.
5. Detailed design
Based on this discussion, and your feedback, our initial design is now developed into a detailed design. As the project progresses we advise and help you choose other consultants, as required, to complete the works. e.g. Structural and Services Engineers, Quantity Surveyor etc.
6. Planning permission
Planning drawings and documentation is collated and issued to the local council for approval.
7. Tender stage
Once planning permission has been granted, we prepare a comprehensive set of detailed drawings and specifications for the design. These are then issued to a number of contractors to enable them to submit a detailed quotation, programme and likely commencement date for the project.
8. Construction stage
During construction we administer the project contract between you and your builder, ensuring the project progresses as agreed and the process runs smoothly.
